About

One builder, not an agency.

I am Jowad Mustafa. I build the small, specific software that doesn't have a product: integrations between systems that were never designed to talk, internal tools nobody sells, and the automation that deletes a manual step nobody wanted to own.

Most of it is not glamorous. It is the gap between two systems that were never introduced, the report that takes a week because it lives in four places, the spreadsheet that quietly became the operating system of a department.

The work is usually small. It is also load-bearing.

How I work

  • Scope in writing before anything starts. A defined deliverable, a fixed price, and a finish line you can point to.
  • One person does the work. You are not handed to a junior after the first call.
  • You keep everything. The code, the documentation, the deploy access. It runs on your accounts, not mine.
  • Built to be handed over. No subscription in the middle, no dependency on me to keep it running.

What I build with

Whatever the job actually needs, kept as small as it can be. Usually a small service, a database, and a plain interface, deployed somewhere that doesn't require babysitting. APIs and webhooks, scheduled jobs, data moving between systems, internal tools, and interfaces for processes that currently live in a spreadsheet.

What I turn down

Staff augmentation, ongoing support contracts, work that needs a team of five, and requests where the honest answer is to buy an existing product instead. Saying no early is more useful to you than a proposal I can't deliver on.

Where

Based in Tampa, Florida. Remote across the US, with onsite work around Tampa Bay when a build needs someone physically near the hardware.
